modelSPORT magazine enters 3rd year of production by releasing MS0301

Jacksonville, NC

If you're not familiar with modelSPORT magazine, a video-magazine format television program about the sport of R/C, you owe it to yourself to get an issue - you're in for a treat! Released every other month on VHS videotape, the feature length issues (2-hours long!) are composed of segments covering a wide variety of subjects. MS0301 is a splendid example of the genre.

First up, a review of Falcon Trading's unique plastic ARF, the Jupiter. Set up for flapperons with a dual servo wing using Futaba's 8U Super, it's powered with K&B's awesome new .48. This is followed by a tour of Chicago's Radio Control Hobby Trade Association show - it's where hobby insiders go to see prototypes and hot new products. These include Hobbico's superb new giant F4U, Hangar 9's cool new giant Ultra Stick, Du Bro's innovative new Kwik-Fill fitting for your fuel jug, and more! But you ain't seen nuttin' yet! Next, visit Costa Rica! A tropical paradise where modelSPORT cameras make you feel like you're on the flight line with TOC Champion Quique Somenzini. (Learn more.) As if all this wasn't enough, next up is a brief segment on tinting the windows of Hangar 9's neat scale Cessna 182 ARF Skylane using Pactra's Spray Tint.

Helicopters aren't neglected as programming and setting up CSM's Heading Lock gyro using the 8U Super is also detailed! Wrapping up the issue, some hot new products and one complaint. During the credit roll, they give us a brief glimpse of a model featured in the next issue . . . it has 6 engines - no fair!

  Background:
Why take years to learn what the pros know? Each 2-hour long issue features a unique assortment of general and technical information about the sport of R/C modeling. Feature and "how-to" segments cover a diverse range of subjects including modeling techniques, R/C engines, radio programming, tips and tricks, flying and trade events, tools, construction, and new products. modelSPORT both entertains and educates - use it to show non-modelers the fun and diversity the sport has to offer!

Since childhood, show-and-tell has been the most enduring tool in the transfer of knowledge and experience. As a VHS video-magazine, modelSPORT updates the paradigm! Released every other month on VHS videotape, the feature length issues (2-hours long!) are composed of segments covering a wide variety of subjects. A 6-issue subscription is only $39.99, plus a one-time S&H of $6.95. Complete your collection, or build your personal library for the princely sum of just $6.99 per issue (plus $3.95 S&H, 50 each additional tape). Savvy modelers will save the shipping and handling if they get theirs from one of more than 400 local hobby shops! Visit http://www.modelsport.com for the dealer nearest you.
